At Veltins, a founder's descendant moves into the executive suite

Fabian Veltins has been working for the brewery for three years, gaining experience within the company through various roles. He previously worked for other breweries.

Longtime Veltins manager Volker Kuhl (61) will remain the company's CEO for the time being. Fabian Veltins could potentially succeed him in the future. A year ago, Fabian Veltins told the German Press Agency (dpa): "It is my life's dream to take over the Veltins brewery one day." His aunt Susanne Veltins said at the time: "I want to give him time to familiarize himself with all areas of the company." The Veltins brewery has more than 700 employees, and its main plant is in Meschede-Grevenstein in the Hochsauerland district (North Rhine-Westphalia).
