Boeing: Resumption of aircraft deliveries to China after trade rapprochement

The resumption of trade relations with China comes at a time when Boeing is once again at the center of a debate about the safety of its aircraft. On Thursday, a Boeing 767-7 Dreamliner with 242 people on board crashed shortly after takeoff in northern India , killing 241 of the passengers.

Already on Monday, data from the online platform Flightradar 24 indicated that a new Boeing 737 Max, painted in the colors of the Chinese airline Xiamen Airlines, had landed in China – the first indication that the aircraft manufacturer is resuming deliveries to China. The country accounts for about 10% of Boeing's order backlog and is an important and growing aviation market.
