So now it's out: the first indictment against Signa founder René Benko . More are very likely. The public prosecutor's office is currently investigating more than twelve cases. For several months, investigators apparently weighed up which of the cases they could bring to trial most quickly. For a long time, suspicion of a money carousel was at the top of the list. The matter involves millions of euros from investors supposedly becoming the Austrian real estate entrepreneur's equity in a short period of time. The money is said to have cascaded through several companies and ultimately been presented to the investors as his own.
