Nobody can look into the heads of the cabinet at 10 Downing Street. But it is probably not an injustice to the British government to assume that some people secretly wish that Prime Minister Keir Starmer would dare to do something similar to what Hugh Grant did in Love Actually , the best and most British Christmas film of all time, in the White House this Thursday. Who has not heard the dashing, indomitable Prime Minister's announcement to the nasty, egomaniacal US President in the middle of a press conference: "A friend who behaves rudely is no longer a friend!"
