Treptow-Köpenick: So many companies were founded in 2024, so many are bankrupt

As of December 31, 2024, a total of 31,297 commercial enterprises were registered in Treptow-Köpenick . As the Treptow-Köpenick district office announced, the establishment of new companies also remains on an upward trend: 2,626 new companies took the step into self-employment within the year. At the same time, 1,178 companies deliberately relocated their headquarters to the district.

Despite the positive development, there were also setbacks. In the same period, 2,262 businesses were deregistered. However, the growth in companies has shown a constant increase of around 1,500 companies per year for the past three years. This stability is an indicator of the strength of Treptow-Köpenick as a business location, which offers both innovative start-ups and traditional family businesses room for growth and development, according to the district office.
