Young investor launches $10 million fund for AI startups – with this pitch deck
31-year-old venture capitalist Sam Awrabi has raised $10 million to invest exclusively in AI startups , calling the technology “the dominant force of our lives.”
AI advances will be "greater than mobile and web combined," says Awrabi, in part because "the productivity of the average person will increase by 50 to 75 percent in the coming years."

Awrabi's AI Fund I will operate within his venture capital firm, Banyan Ventures. The fund specializes in AI infrastructure and software startups that have integrated the technology into their core from the very beginning.
On the infrastructure front, Awrabi sees a huge opportunity for startups working to reduce AI costs – from inference chips to cooling technology.
"Nvidia is already worth four trillion US dollars – and we're just getting started," he says. "Not to mention: What might the new winners in the AI-native infrastructure stack be worth in 30 years?"
On the app front, Awrabi is looking for startups with “unique data access” and “highly effective workflows” that could standardize the way of working in a particular area.
To date, Banyan has invested in 14 companies, including AI chip company Positron, GPU server cooling startup Akash, and Italian AI legal assistant Lexroom.
The fund will invest in 36 seed and pre-seed stage startups, most of which have already generated revenue, and will issue tickets ranging from $200,000 to $425,000.
Awrabi is the fund's sole general partner and is entering a highly competitive AI landscape. Large VC firms dominate the funding, but he believes Banyan's specialization in AI provides a unique advantage.
