DoKomi 2025 starts today: All information about tickets, program & highlights

Japan Day is barely over when Düsseldorf beckons with another annual highlight for fans of Japanese pop culture: DoKomi. For this event, the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Center transforms into a huge meeting place for anime, manga, and gaming fans from all over Europe.
What exactly can visitors expect this year? When are tickets available, how much does admission cost, and when does it actually start?
DoKomi 2025 runs from Friday, June 6, to Sunday, June 8, 2025.
All opening hours at a glance
- Friday, June 6, 2025: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday, June 7, 2025: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday, June 8, 2025: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Admission and visitor entrances
Entrance to the indoor areas begins at 11:00 a.m. on Friday and 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday to ensure relaxed access for visitors.
- Anyone with a VIP ticket can enter the halls half an hour before the official opening and can also bring up to two accompanying persons earlier (accompanying persons need their own ticket for the corresponding day of the event).
There are two visitor entrances, North Entrance and South Entrance.

Anime, manga, cosplay, gaming, Japanese music, fashion, and culture – DoKomi offers a diverse program. Here are some highlights, along with additional evening events:
- Artist Alley : Germany’s largest artist alley with over 1,000 artists.
- Maid Café & Host Club : Authentic cosplay restaurants with a Japanese flair.
- Cosplay : Various opportunities for cosplayers, including competitions and photo shoots.
- Workshops & Panels : Offers on topics such as drawing, cosplay, dance and Japanese culture.
- Stage program : Live acts, concerts and show acts on several stages.
- Gaming : Areas for video games, e-sports tournaments and retro gaming.
- Bring & Buy : Marketplace for buying and selling merchandise.
Evening events :
- “Cosplay Ball” on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 from 8:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
- “J-Rave” on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 from 8:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
- “Akuma no Mori” Saturday, June 7th, 2025 from 8:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
There will also be various guests of honor participating in the event, including well-known voice actors, manga artists, and musicians.
Anyone wanting to purchase a ticket now is in with a slim chance: All tickets except the Friday ticket are sold out (as of June 3, 2025). The Friday ticket costs 40 euros and is available through the official DoKomi ticket shop.
The DoKomi (abbreviation for Doitsu Komikku Māketto , i.e. “German Comic Market”) is Germany’s largest anime and Japan convention.
It takes place annually in Düsseldorf and attracts fans of anime, manga, cosplay, gaming, Japanese music, fashion, and pop culture from all over Europe. According to the convention, over 180,000 people attended DoKomi in 2024.
