While the tech world is embracing software hype like chatbots and generative AI, an often overlooked but highly relevant investment trend is emerging in the background: deeptech hardware. In these areas – such as quantum processors, new materials, or industrial robotics – the technological foundations for the next industrial era are currently being developed.
According to the latest Deep Tech Hardware Napkin Report by VC First Momentum, around €15 billion flowed into European deep tech startups in 2024 alone. Yet, the path to financing remains opaque and difficult to access for many founders in hardware-related segments – especially when it comes to complex hardware.
