Every home builder has their own experiences with the building authorities. Sometimes the construction of a terrace is denied, even though the neighbor has been granted permission. There are regulations regarding the use of materials, the height of the attic, and access routes. Permits take significantly longer than before. Builders are often annoyed because they believe that the authorities' decisions regarding the construction project take everyone else's interests into account, not their own. In building law, the prejudices about German bureaucratic madness are often confirmed.
