Arndt Funken is moving from Aquila Capital to St.Galler Kantonalbank Deutschland. He explains his new responsibilities as Head of Special Clients.

St.Galler Kantonalbank Deutschland has appointed Arndt Funken as Head of Special Clients Germany. In this role, he will assume responsibility for supporting institutional clients, key clients, and external asset managers with booking locations in Switzerland. He will be based in Frankfurt and report to Tim Freise, member of the Management Board .
“His strategic expertise and strong customer focus provide an ideal basis for the further development of our special customer areas,” says Sven Thielmann, CEO of St.Galler Kantonalbank Deutschland.
Funken brings experience in public finance, the foundation sector, and institutional banking. Key positions in his career have included Deutsche Bank, Deka Bank , J. Safra Sarasin, and most recently, nearly nine years in a leading position (Managing Director) at Aquila Capital . At the asset manager, he was responsible for sales to church investors, foundations, and family offices.
