EUREX/Bund future higher during trading

DJ EUREX/Bund future higher in trading
DOW JONES—The Bund futures contract was up 10 ticks at 129.38 percent at around 8:35 a.m. Thursday. It opened the night at 129.30 percent. The daily high so far is 129.42 percent, and the low is 129.28 percent. A good 32,000 contracts were traded.
Expectations for interest rate cuts have recently intensified in light of the dovish tone in the "Beige Book" and other Fed comments, with a key rate cut this month now expected almost 100 percent. The US labor market is coming into focus, with the ADP report this afternoon and the major August report on Friday.
Helaba points out that the Bund future is now trading above the support zone at 129. However, indicators continue to point downward, so the risk of a downtrend is not yet off the table. Resistance is at 129.38 percent.
