A major exhibition is looming in the Stuttgart region. New buildings, which are lacking in Baden-Württemberg's state capital, can be found in greater numbers in the surrounding area.
The city of 38,000 inhabitants, with its historic center, can boast a flagship project for the 2027 International Building Exhibition of the Stuttgart Metropolitan Region: the "Quartier Backnang West." A mix of residential and commercial properties is being developed on a nearly 17-hectare former industrial site on the Murr River. The first projects are scheduled to be completed in two years. Investors are well advised to take a closer look: This medium-sized city offers one of the highest rental yields in the greater Stuttgart area. The current average rental yield for new buildings is 3.25 percent.
