"The Spreewald Clinic": This popular TV star joins the second season

"The Spreewald Clinic" is being continued. In the second season, Jan Hartmann joins the acting team.
The stories surrounding "The Spreewald Clinic" continue. Filming for the second season of the Sat.1 early evening series has started - with a prominent new addition.
Popular face on TVTV star Jan Hartmann (44) plays Dr. Mark Engelhardt and thus strengthens the medical team. The actor began his career in the RTL series "Guten Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten", where he was seen as Christopher "Chris" Bohlstädt from 1999 to 2001. He then took on many other roles in series and films. From "Verbotene Liebe" to "St. Angela" to "Rote Rosen" and "Sturm der Liebe", he has plenty of series experience. From 2011 to 2012 he played Dr. Stefan Jung in the first ZDF medical daily "Herzflimmern - Die Klinik am See". From 2017 to 2024 he was part of the main cast of the Traumschiff spin-off "Kreuzfahrt ins Glück".
The father of two has also already ventured into a few TV shows. He took part in the ProSieben show "Die Burg - Prominent im Kettenhaube" and the RTL show "Let's Dance", where he was eliminated in the first round in 2019 alongside Renata Lusin (37).
This is what the new episodes are about"The Spreewald Clinic" was launched on August 29, 2024 on Sat.1, where it ran Monday to Friday from 7:00 p.m. "I am delighted that we will continue with even more episodes in 2025. The Spreewald remains a true place of longing for a strong early evening series," says station boss Marc Rasmus happily.

A lot has already been revealed about the plot: The mysterious letter from Lea (Sina Valeska Jung) turns the life of the trainee nurse Nico (Isabel Hinz) upside down. She distances herself from Lea. The appearance of Mona (Maja Lehrer) and her son Timmy (Noam Butzner) also causes her a headache. This challenges her new relationship with Erik (Daniel Buder). And then the new doctor Dr. Mark Engelhardt (Hartmann) causes a stir in the clinic. He not only puts the staff to the test, but also poses a threat to Lea and Erik's love.
