Nick Jonas Spends Birthday on Camp Rock 3 Set With Priyanka Chopra
For the third time in his life, Nick Jonas is spending his birthday filming a Camp Rock movie.
But this time around, the singer had wife Priyanka Chopra, 43, by his side in addition to older brothers Joe Jonas, 36, and Kevin Jonas, 37.
"Somehow my third time celebrating my birthday on the set of Camp Rock?" Nick, who starred in 2008’s Camp Rock and 2010’s Camp Rock 2, wrote on Instagram Sept. 18. "15, 17 and now the best one yet, 33."
Sharing footage from the set—including him blowing out candles on a birthday cake while in the wooded location—he added in a sweet message to Priyanka, with whom he shares 3-year-old daughter Malti, “My [heart emoji].”
Nick's return to his Disney Channel roots comes shortly after the third installment was officially announced on Sept. 17. The film will include the Jonas Brothers as their fictional band Connect 3 returning to camp. Demi Lovato will not be reprising her role as Mitchie Torres, but she will be part of the film as an executive producer.
“The story picks up when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing,” a press release read. “As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances.”
However, Joe first teased of the threequel during an Aug. 12 appearance on Hot Ones Versus, when he was asked to read the latest entry in his Notes app on his phone out loud for a challenge. The DNCE frontman went on to say, "Read Camp Rock 3."
And he didn't go back on his word, confirming, "It’s the truth.”
“It’s literally right here," Joe added. "Sorry, Disney."
