Berlin Left: The Israeli flags should disappear
The Israeli flag flies in front of many Berlin government buildings as a sign of solidarity. Not everyone likes this. The Left Party sees them as "contaminated symbols" and wants them taken down.

Berlin Left Party politicians are demanding that Israeli flags be removed from public buildings like the Red City Hall – out of consideration for Palestinian Berliners, they say. The flags were raised as a sign of solidarity after Hamas' terrorist attack on Israel in September 2023. They have not been taken down since.
