FW-EN: Gevelsberg Fire Department on duty on the A1 motorway. A single-vehicle accident occurred. The driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with the central barrier. Flying debris damaged vehicles traveling in both directions. Fortunately, there were no injuries. The Gevelsberg Fire Department secured the scene, contained leaking operating fluids, and removed the debris. This required a partial closure of the motorway. The operation was concluded after approximately one hour. Firefighters from the main fire station were deployed, while basic protection was provided by Fire Brigade Unit 2.
