In the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, another Russian drone strike injured 17 people, including children, a pregnant woman, and a 93-year-old woman, according to military governor Oleh Synyehubov. "By launching attacks while people are sleeping in their homes, the enemy once again confirms its tactics of insidious terror," Synyehubov wrote on Telegram.

On Wednesday evening, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in a telephone call with US President Donald Trump that he would retaliate for Ukrainian drone attacks on military airfields in Russia. According to Ukrainian sources, more than 40 combat aircraft were destroyed over the weekend.
