Retirement at 70: Denmark raises retirement age

The new law sets the retirement age at 70 for all citizens born after December 31, 1970. Currently, the retirement age in Denmark is 67, as is the case in Germany.

Denmark has continuously adjusted the official retirement age to life expectancy since 2006. The figures are reviewed every five years. The retirement age is expected to rise to 68 by 2030, and to 69 by 2035.
