Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi is currently in high season.

According to authorities, a Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian Black Sea city of Sochi set fire to an oil depot near the airport. Debris from a downed drone crashed into a tank farm and sparked the fire, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said on Telegram. More than 100 emergency personnel and 35 fire engines are on site to extinguish the blaze.
Residents posted video clips of the massive fire on social media. They also showed a drone approaching before the explosion and destroyed buildings. The footage could not be independently verified.
Air traffic at the airport was temporarily suspended overnight due to the drone threat, but resumed in the morning, according to a spokesperson for the regulatory authority, Rosaviatsia. It's now peak season for holidaymakers in the Black Sea city. The plume of smoke from the fire was visible from afar, according to eyewitnesses.
Ministry reports shooting down of more than 90 dronesThe Russian Defense Ministry reported the downing of more than 90 Ukrainian drones in the Black Sea region and other areas. The list of affected areas did not include any information on damage or casualties.
Ukrainian media reported widely on the fire in Sochi. In the more than three-year-long Russian war of aggression, the Ukrainian leadership has repeatedly declared that it is taking the war back to the aggressor's country. The drone attacks are targeting military logistics in the Russian hinterland, including fuel depots, ammunition depots, and transport routes.
