The Edmonton Oilers celebrate a convincing victory over the Dallas Stars in the semifinals of the NHL playoffs and equalize the series.

The Edmonton Oilers, led by superstar Leon Draisaitl, can still hope for the NHL title. The Canadian team won the second game of the Western Conference Final against the Dallas Stars 3-0 on the road. After the opening loss (3-6), the best-of-seven series is now tied 1-1.
Draisaitl once again played a key role in the victory. The 29-year-old made the pass on the power play before Evan Bouchard's shot, which Ryan Nugent-Hopkins then deflected into the net for the early lead (6th minute). For the German superstar, it was his 20th goal involvement in 13 playoff games this season.
Brett Kulak added another goal in the second period when he converted his own rebound (36th minute). Just under a minute later, Connor Brown deflected a shot from Nugent-Hopkins into the net to seal the game (37th minute).
Skinner with third shutout in the playoffsGoalkeeper Stuart Skinner was also a key factor in the Oilers' success. The often-criticized keeper stopped 25 shots and kept a clean sheet for the third time in the playoffs. Dallas had previously won seven consecutive games at their home stadium, the American Airlines Center.
After two away games, Edmonton will now host the Stars at home for two consecutive games. The series continues on Sunday (9 p.m., CEST).
