Best win rate since Luis Enrique: After three titles, Flick extends his contract with champions Barça

Hansi Flick has won three titles with FC Barcelona. The success story is set to continue. The coach is extending his contract early.
After a successful season with three titles, coach Hansi Flick has prematurely extended his contract with FC Barcelona until 2027. The Spanish football club announced this and praised the work of the former national coach: "The enthusiasm that the German brought to the club in his first year as coach has once again made FC Barcelona a feared rival in Europe." Flick's previous contract would have expired in 2026.
In the Champions League, Barça suffered an unfortunate semi-final defeat to Inter Milan after two spectacular matches. The 60-year-old Flick is the third German coach at FC Barcelona, following Hennes Weisweiler and Udo Lattek.
“Hansi Flick made the Barça fans happy in his first season for many reasons: because of the belief he instilled in the team, because of the spectacular comebacks and because of the trophies,” the club’s website continued.
With 43 wins in 54 competitive matches, Flick has the best success rate (73 percent) in the first season of a Barcelona coach since Luis Enrique (83 percent).
