An incident during a live broadcast after the Champions League final is currently causing discussions on social media.

The scene shows presenter Kate Scott and MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, who refuses to shake the female presenter's hand. Scott, known in Germany primarily by her maiden name Abdo, immediately apologizes.

On the evening of the Champions League final in Munich, after PSG emerged victorious, the British broadcaster CBS Sports was still live on air. Host Kate Scott chatted with experts Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards. Influencer "IShowSpeed" was also a guest. Khabib Nurmagomedov, a PSG fan and confidant of club owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi, was particularly anticipated.

Nurmagomedov arrived at the roundtable in a good mood, high-fiving and joking with the gentlemen present. But when moderator Scott extended her hand to greet him, he instead placed his right hand over his heart and said, "Nice to meet you." Scott withdrew her hand and apologized, placing her own hand over her heart.

As the Times of India reports, Nurmagomedov declined the handshake for religious reasons. The gesture was therefore not a personal affront to the presenter, but rather a decision "based on Nurmagomedov's devout Islamic faith," according to the Times of India. Physical contact with members of the opposite sex is therefore prohibited.

Despite the incident, Scott made no fuss about it on air and continued her presentation confidently. British media reports suggest that it may have been clear in advance that a handshake was not planned, something Scott may have "forgotten" during the live broadcast.
