Liverpool player Diogo Jota dies in a car accident in Spain

According to current information, the vehicle in which Jota was traveling with his brother André left the road on the A 65 motorway near Palacios de Sanabria. The car subsequently caught fire. Both men were killed. André Jota was also a professional footballer.

Diogo Jota leaves behind his wife and three children. He married only on June 22. He had been under contract with Liverpool FC since 2020 and was considered one of the key players in the English club's attack. Previously, he played for Wolverhampton and Atlético Madrid, among others.
