Admittedly, when it comes to Jadon Sancho, I'm not entirely neutral. This is mainly due to the fact that in November 2019, I was able to stand on the sidelines of a game at the Westfalenstadion – and the then 19-year-old, just a few steps in front of me, was doing things with the ball that I couldn't even manage on the console. Six years later, however, there's not much left of that Jadon Sancho. Chelsea FC, where Sancho was most recently on loan, has now announced that they will not fulfill the agreed purchase obligation of €30 million under any circumstances. They would even prefer to pay a contractual penalty of €6 million to Manchester United rather than have to sign the Englishman permanently. Which, to be honest, is quite a slap in the face. Especially since Jadon Sancho is unlikely to have a future at United either. The last interested parties for the 25-year-old are said to be in Saudi Arabia. That is, if BVB doesn't get any crazy ideas again.
