Serious allegations have been made against former Super Bowl champion Justin Tucker. The league has responded with a suspension. The kicker continues to deny the allegations. As a result, he was released from the Baltimore Ravens after 13 years.
NFL professional Justin Tucker has been suspended for ten games for sexual misconduct. The U.S. Football League announced this. The NFL responded to serious allegations against the 35-year-old, made by a total of 16 massage therapists. They accused Tucker of sexually harassing them. He allegedly exposed his genitals during massage sessions, among other things. The incidents allegedly all occurred between 2012 and 2016.
In the wake of the allegations, the kicker was released by the Baltimore Ravens in early May after 13 years. Tucker has been without a contract since then. However, despite the suspension, he is free to sign with another team and also participate in official preseason games. The suspension takes effect on August 26 and covers the first ten games of the new season.
Tucker denies the allegationsTucker's agent, Rob Roche, expressed his "disappointment with the NFL's decision" in a statement. Tucker has vehemently denied all allegations. "Justin has always strived to conduct himself in a manner that makes his family and community proud. He stands by his past statements," the statement continued. However, he will not appeal the decision.
Tucker joined the Ravens undrafted in 2012 and dominated NFL kicking in the following years. He was named All-Pro, the best player at his position, five times. He won the Super Bowl with Baltimore in 2012. To this day, Tucker holds the record for the longest field goal in NFL history, scoring from 66 yards.
