How will VfL Wolfsburg manage to get back on top after years of disappointment? Bosses Peter Christiansen and Sebastian Schindzielorz are tasked with ensuring this happens – and they have their full backing.

They can't be exempt from criticism. VfL Wolfsburg finished the season in an unsatisfactory eleventh place, and the responsibility for this lies with the sporting bosses: Managing Director Peter Christiansen and Sporting Director Sebastian Schindzielorz.
Sebastian Rudolph brushes aside any doubts about whether the duo is even allowed to lead VfL into the future: "Peter Christiansen and Sebastian Schindzielorz have our full support," emphasizes the supervisory board chairman. "They have a clear plan to sustainably lead VfL into a more successful future."

The managers are working hard on this. The review of the coaching market has been underway for some time, and the intensive search for a successor to Ralph Hasenhüttl, who was dismissed two games before the end of the season, is now in full swing.
The new coach and "the detailed profile"Rudolph, who has been extremely present alongside the bosses and the team in recent weeks and was also present at the season finale in Mönchengladbach (1-0 win), emphasizes: "Peter and Sebastian have drawn up a detailed profile. We will pay close attention to what the new coach brings to the table in terms of content and personality. The sporting management is taking the necessary time for this."
Conversation with and thanks to HasenhüttlHasenhüttl, who has packed up camp in Wolfsburg and hasn't had the chance to say goodbye to his team yet, recently spoke with the supervisory board by phone. "Ralph and I exchanged views afterward," reports Rudolph, Head of Communications at Volkswagen and Porsche.
He has "always had an open line" with the Austrian. And although this season was disappointing, the boss thanks him: "He took over VfL last year in a difficult sporting situation. He managed to stabilize the team – we are grateful to him for that."
"We will attack again"Nevertheless, disappointment after this season of missed goals and many negative headlines still prevails. "We will draw our conclusions and attack again," emphasizes Rudolph, who was at least pleased with the successful conclusion. The win in Gladbach, the positive feeling after negative weeks, is "an important signal for the club, the fans, and the team itself."
