Tyrese Haliburton: Pacers superstar suffers Achilles tendon tear

Oklahoma City. According to consistent US media reports, professional basketball player Tyrese Haliburton tore the Achilles tendon in his right leg during the final game of the NBA Finals. During the game, which the Pacers ultimately lost 91-103 to the Oklahoma City Thunder, led by Isaiah Hartenstein, Haliburton's father had already spoken of an Achilles tendon injury. The severity of the injury was already apparent from the TV footage. Haliburton immediately began screaming in pain and pounding his fists on the ground.
The 25-year-old is the Pacers' most important player and had delivered outstanding performances in the playoffs. However, his right calf had been straining since Game 5 of the series. It was initially unclear how long Haliburton would be out and whether he would even be able to play next season. According to ESPN, Haliburton is considering surgery. Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics and Damien Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks have also suffered Achilles tendon tears in recent months.
Haliburton's injury caused consternation among the Pacers and the NBA. "Our hearts are sunk," Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said after the loss. Sports stars like LeBron James, Patrick Mahomes, and Trae Young reacted to the incident with posts on X.
