A government event brought together Hebe Casado and Facundo Correa Llano: what they talked about

During the signing of an agreement between the Nation and Mendoza, Casado again personally challenged Correa Llano about joining La Libertad Avanza.

Prior to the signing of the agreement between Governor Alfredo Cornejo and the head of the Customs Revenue and Control Agency (ARCA), Juan Pazo, the authorities held an informal meeting on the fourth-floor balcony of the Government House. The meeting was attended by Casado, Correa Llano, Lisandro Catalán (Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry of the Interior), and other cabinet figures.

The political fact is that it was the first face-to-face meeting between Casado and Correa Llano since the vice-governor decided to disaffiliate from the PRO party to join La Libertad Avanza. The important detail: the president of the Libertarian Party in the province has not yet approved her membership application .

A few weeks ago, Casado herself surprised everyone by sharing on social media a post by Uriel Lencina —an 18-year-old leader of the LLA Youth movement in Mendoza and politically close to the vice governor—announcing the former provincial deputy's entry into the group.

Although Casado completed the membership form, it must be signed by Correa Llano—with whom he has no relationship—and then submitted to the Electoral Court. This was precisely the issue the lieutenant governor raised with the Libertarian leader as the meeting on the balcony ended.

" In front of everyone, I asked Facundo when he was going to accept my membership form and if we could meet to talk about politics. He didn't know what to say, but the Protocol people saved him because they just told us we had to go to the hall to sign the addendum," Casado told Los Andes .

The comment generated awkward laughter among those present, who immediately headed to the fourth-floor meeting room where official activities usually take place. There, Casado and Correa Llano were separated by the Minister of Production, Rodolfo Vargas Arizu.

Los Andes attempted to contact the national representative, but received no response.

Currently, Cornejo's running mate is not formally affiliated with any party. Despite Correa Llano's reluctance to add her to the "forces of heaven," Casado maintains that both Javier Milei and his sister Karina , as well as the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem , have already welcomed her to La Libertad Avanza.

"Karina, Javier, and Martín Menem consider me a member of LLA. I'm not going to pressure them to accept me here. They're busy with more important management issues. My affiliation will happen; I'm comfortable with that," she concluded.
