A woman who was with Ábalos at the search attempted to hide a hard drive.

The Civil Guard's Central Operational Unit (UCO) caught a woman accompanying José Luis Ábalos on the day of the search of his home trying to steal a hard drive in her pants.
The incident occurred on June 10th during a search warrant issued by Supreme Court Judge Leopoldo Puente for the residence of the deputy and former Minister of Transport in Valencia.
According to the search warrant reviewed by ABC, the Civil Guard seized up to 34 computer devices, including that of the woman accompanying the politician— who is listed in open sources as a shop assistant in Valencia and exhibits photographs as a model —and allegedly pretended to be taking the dog out to hide it.
"Ábalos states that it is necessary for Mrs. 'x' to take the dog out, which is also in the house. In response, officer 'x' observes how Ábalos tells him to take some breakfast and proceeds to go inside one of the rooms of the house. Before leaving the house, the aforementioned officer observes that Mrs. 'x' is carrying something hidden in her pants. Given this circumstance, officer 'x' proceeds to search this person and observes that Mrs. 'x' is hiding a hard drive in her pants."
According to the documentation filed with the case, Ábalos himself asked the Civil Guard to have the officers who found him at his home at 8:50 a.m. take photos of the first five pages of a red notebook marked "MAFEX," as well as two documents "related to the data on the iPad provided by the Congress of Deputies." The intention was to send them to his lawyer, according to the officers involved.
The search lasted eight hours, between 8:35 a.m. and 4:36 p.m., and officers searched all the premises, including a mezzanine loft from which they removed a hard drive that was inside a computer.
