Armed men steal controlled drugs from IMSS in Puebla

PUEBLA.- A group of armed individuals stole medicines and equipment from an IMSS clinic in the municipality of Puebla.
The events occurred at Clinic number 3 located on 5 de Febrero-Poniente street in the auxiliary council of San Felipe Hueyotlipan in the capital of Puebla.
According to police reports, the armed men subdued the security guard and entered the pharmacy area. In that area they again used their weapons to threaten the staff and took controlled medicine and hospital equipment.
Agents from the Municipal Police and State Police arrived at the scene where they interviewed the victims. They also asked the representative of this clinic to come and file a formal complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The institute confirmed the robbery and assured that they filed the corresponding complaints with the State Attorney General's Office . They are already investigating the assault on this IMSS clinic, because medications requiring a medical prescription were stolen.
"IMSS Puebla filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office and will cooperate at all times with the ministerial authorities to clarify the facts," it said in a press release.

He also pointed out that consultation services continue to be presented on a unit basis, only in those that were not compromised by the theft of medicines.
The quantity and type of medicines stolen are still unknown.
