Bus stops are being changed because a transfer station is being remodeled, through which 120,000 people pass every day

Work has begun on the complete improvement of the bus transfer centre opposite the Lanús station of the Tren Roca. It has been 10 years since a renovation of this nature was carried out in this area where more than 20 bus stops and some 120,000 passengers converge.
The transfer area has had a deteriorated image for years and is a mandatory stop for anyone who travels through there daily on their way to the City of Buenos Aires or the southern suburbs. The investment required for the project is 100% municipal in origin and will be 500 billion pesos .
The work includes the restoration of platforms, benches and electrical installations in bays 1, 4, 3 and 6. Pedestrian crossings will be enabled in the central bays (2 and 5), while the parking area will be used only for loading and unloading.
Something important for users to know is that during the works, the stops of the 16 lines that originally pass through the center were rearranged . Since Monday 17, the bus stops have been temporarily relocated to Hipólito Yrigoyen Avenue, 25 de Mayo Avenue and Juan Piñeiro.
Lines 33, 37, 45, 51, 79, 119, 160, 164, 177 and 271 will stop at Hipólito Yrigoyen. Lines 32, 45, 75 and 158 will stop at 25 de Mayo. Lines 405, 520 branch C and branch B1 will stop at Juan Piñeiro. For greater accuracy, the municipality published the exact height at which the stop for each line will operate while the project is underway.

Line 37 will stop at Av. Hipólito Yrigoyen 4750; line 33 at 4464; 160 at 4762; 119 at 4680; 164 at 4670; 271 at 4676; 177 at 4485; 51 and 79 at 4420; 45 at Av. Hipólito Yrigoyen 4456 and at Av. 25 de Mayo 50 (there will be a stop for this line in both directions).
Then, on Av. 25 de Mayo you will find the stops for the following lines divided in this way: line 158 is at number 12; 32 at 28; 75 at 58. And finally on Juan Piñeiro there are the stops for line 520 branch C at 33 and branch B1 of the same line at 63; and line 405 at number 89.
The last time this Transfer Center was completely refurbished was in 2015, under the administration of Darío Díaz Pérez, due to a project with national funds by the Ministry of the Interior and Transportation of the Nation, which at that time was the responsibility of politician Florencio Randazzo.
At that time, the work consisted of the construction of 300 linear meters of roofed shelters for suburban passenger transport, divided into three bays and with a raised floor at the height of the buses. In addition, ramps were installed for passenger access, and the station lighting was renovated with LED lamps.
The current mayor, Julián Álvarez, was also present at the inauguration in 2015, on that occasion as a candidate for mayor, and he celebrated that: "The work was carried out thanks to a national government that has a lot to give to the Argentines."
