Carlos Herrera's emotional farewell to Javier Lambán: "A friend and a true Spaniard."

The death of Javier Lambán last Friday has generated countless messages praising the former president of Aragon's career. This recognition cuts across ideological lines and has transcended the political sphere.

Journalist Carlos Herrera was one of the public figures who showed his affection and respect for the historic PSOE politician. While still on vacation, the host of "Herrera en Cope" shared a brief but heartfelt message on social media praising Lambán.

"A man of integrity. A great politician. A true Spaniard. A friend. An example to all. Javier Lambán." These were the words with which Carlos Herrera described the man who was the President of Aragon from 2015 to 2023.

Carlos Herrera and Javier Lambán have been the subject of numerous on-air interviews. The most recent took place on May 12th, coinciding with the publication in the press of messages between José Luis Ábalos and Pedro Sánchez in which the Ejea native was mentioned. As usual, the Aragonese politician spoke very clearly: "It wasn't a surprise. We all knew that this was the pattern of the relationship established from Ferraz with the regional leaders, especially with the dissidents. Although I was shocked by the president's virulence or almost unhealthy obsession with this relationship, I must admit that it surprised me."

Lambán went on to detail his dealings with the Prime Minister: "I've had many conversations on the phone, personal, friendly, cordial, cold, and bitter. I could list a whole host of the most varied and disparate cases. However, I must say that in some cases the harshness of the conversations was absolutely disproportionate. This reveals a style, a way of understanding the hierarchies within the party that I certainly never accepted willingly and that I rejected."
