Chaos at the airport! Man jumps onto the runway and is sucked into a plane.

A man in his 30s caused chaos and horror at Milan-Bergamo International Airport in Italy when he suddenly stepped onto the runway and was sucked into the engine of a commercial jet preparing for takeoff to Spain.

The tragic incident occurred when the individual—whose identity has not been revealed —gained unauthorized access to the airport's restricted area and ran toward an Airbus A319 belonging to the Spanish airline Volotea, just as pre-takeoff maneuvers were being performed.

The engine absorbed it in front of the crew and passengers

Italian media outlets such as La Repubblica and Corriere della Sera reported that the man was sucked into one of the plane's engines during the "pushback" maneuver, a critical phase on the ground when the aircraft is pushed toward the runway. The flight, identified as V7-3511 , was bound for the city of Asturias in northern Spain.

At the time of the accident, there were 154 passengers and six crew members on board. Although no one was injured, witnesses were in a state of shock and received psychological treatment.

Airport authorities suspended all operations for at least two hours, resulting in flight diversions and cancellations.

He was neither a passenger nor an airport worker.

Italian police confirmed that the man was neither an airport employee nor a passenger on the flight. They are investigating how he managed to access the runway without being detected by security systems.

Volotea Airlines expressed its dismay at the incident and stated that it is working closely with authorities to clarify the case. Airport operator SACBO also confirmed the opening of a formal investigation to review security protocols.
