Governor of Baja California attends the 249th anniversary of US independence

In the framework of the 249th anniversary of the independence of the United States, the Governor of Baja California , Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, attended the ceremony as the guest of honor, organized by the U.S. Consul General in Tijuana, Christopher Teal. During the event, the governor highlighted the strong relationship between Baja California and the neighboring country.

Ávila Olmeda emphasized that this relationship is based on respect, cooperation, and the ties forged over generations by citizens on both sides of the border. He emphasized that beyond sharing a geographic border, both regions share history, culture, family, and common challenges.

The state leader emphasized the fundamental importance of building bridges of understanding and strengthening the vision of a border characterized by peace, development, and brotherhood.

The anniversary ceremony also served as a platform to reaffirm the commitment to cooperation between both parties. In his speech, Consul Teal emphasized the importance of the ties forged through collaboration and ongoing dialogue. Governor Marina del Pilar's presence at this event demonstrated the importance placed on the relationship between Baja California and the United States, as well as the interest in continuing to work together for the benefit of both regions.
