INE annuls 37 magistrates who won the judicial election for not having a minimum GPA of 8
Applied Judiciary.- The INE annulled the "victory" of 37 judges elected in the last judicial election for not having a minimum GPA of 8 in law school. It seems like an anecdote, but it's a joke... or was it?
This was determined by the General Council of the INE after detecting that at least 37 of the winners did not meet the minimum profile to be candidates—that is, not even as substitutes in a mock election—since they were never even close to making the honor roll.

It's worth mentioning that these candidates, who had never participated in spelling competitions or known how to conjugate the verb "to demand," had been nominated by the Evaluation Committees despite lacking the basic academic requirements. Even their gowns didn't fit properly.
It is suspected that there could be more similar cases in other judicial positions, so the INE is already investigating thoroughly. The objective: to deprive them of the majority record before they even learn how to fill out a sentence.

Councilor Uuc-kib Espadas even revealed that at one point it was proposed to "round up" the averages: if they had more than 7.5, they would be given an 8. A proposal that, he said, "not even the high school teachers would accept."
Following these findings, the Council called a recess to review who will be granted the majority certificate next week, automatically ruling out those who were out of line during the race... and also those who believe that "jurisprudence" is a perfume.
