INE will pretend it will take days to count the votes in the judicial election.

Semi-Arid Polling Station.- After the judicial election, the INE announced that it will take several days to count all the votes, to pretend that many people actually voted.

The decision was made after a meeting in which the visibly bored councilors agreed to "dramatically" address the issue to give the process more legitimacy.

The judicial elections on June 1st took place with low turnout, but without serious incidents. The information system opened at 10:00 PM, with updates every three hours, allowing them to complete this week. https://t.co/NRcYZbIlY0 pic.twitter.com/sUrWxh8gcZ

The INE will release the results when no one asks for them anymore.

We can't say who won in two hours; that takes all the excitement out of this unrated reality show,” Guadalupe Taddei explained, without explaining why no one else in all of Mexico has the same last name as her.

Although it was reported that most of the ballot boxes arrived at the counting center alone and many ballots were blank, with drawings, or written curses, the INE assured that it will simulate processing the entry of tallies, quick counts, and signature validation to add a bureaucratic touch to the day.

Absolute disinterest in the judicial election.

"This magistrate with the title pending had 7 votes, against 5 for another candidate, but we'll count them again to be sure..." another councilor said, making a puzzled face in front of a blacked-out screen.

The results are expected to be announced when no one is asking for them, but it's a given that it will be on a Friday afternoon, so as not to disrupt the morning programs that citizens watch.

And in case you missed it: in Cancun they were handing out edible accordions for the Judicial Branch election.
