Juan Antonio Aguirre is profiled as the next president of Canaco Saltillo

The National Chamber of Commerce (Canaco) in Saltillo is outlining Juan Antonio Aguirre Valdez as a unity candidate to be elected as the next president of the business organization at an assembly to be held on March 13.
In a press conference after the 24th board meeting, the current president of Canaco Saltillo, Alejandro Pepi, announced that Marcela Dávila and Carlos Martínez, pre-candidates for the position, gave their support to Aguirre Valdez.

Pepi, for his part, reiterated the support of the members of the Board so that Juan Antonio Aguirre Valdez can be elected as head of the Board of Directors within the framework of the Annual Assembly and First Board Meeting to be held on March 13.
He said that, under his leadership, Canaco Servytur will continue to maintain business leadership and will work for the growth and consolidation of the sector and the community in general.
He also acknowledged the pre-candidates and the candidate for unity, as well as the members of the council for the maturity they showed in this process, which enhances the unity and strengthening of this institution that is 139 years old.
He stressed that the chamber has 9,230 members who generate 105,000 jobs. He also mentioned that among the pending tasks that he leaves for the new president, he said that the construction of a new building for the organization is pending and he hopes that in the coming weeks the legal and physical possession of the land can be taken, in order to lay the first stone of the new headquarters.

Aguirre Valdez commented that he has been participating in Canaco Saltillo for 25 or 26 years, where he has held positions such as vice president, secretary and counselor , in addition to having been awarded Distinguished Merchant of the Year.
At the head of Canaco Saltillo, he will pursue the same objectives that the chamber has been working on and will continue with unity, while among the challenges he mentioned is working together with the three levels of government to move forward with the chamber's projects and support organized merchants in the center and throughout the city.
He will present the work plan at the assembly and also took the opportunity to thank the other pre-candidates for their support, as well as the council and the merchants who supported him in this process.
Finally, it was said that the slate is chosen at the assembly and then at the first council meeting the president is voted on, who on that day names the people who will accompany him.
