Man arrested for car battery theft in Saltillo

Officers from the western sector of the Saltillo Municipal Police arrested a man identified as Juan Manuel "N," alias "El Chupe," for his alleged involvement in the theft of a car battery in the Pueblo Insurgente neighborhood.

The arrest was made after a series of citizen reports posted on social media, which alerted authorities to the suspect's presence in the area . Members of the municipal corporation's specialized units followed up on videos posted on these platforms, locating and apprehending the alleged offender.

Neighbors in the area identified Juan Manuel as the likely perpetrator of the theft from inside a vehicle, specifically the theft of the car battery , an incident that had generated concern in the community.

The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office, where his legal status will be determined. For its part, the Saltillo Police Department for Security and Citizen Protection urged the public to formally file complaints if they have been victims of a crime, in order to strengthen legal and preventive measures.
