Man dies after being struck by a truck near Raymundo de Lerdo Park

A man died after being struck by a pickup truck near the Los Ángeles neighborhood of Lerdo City, on the Gómez Palacio-Durango freeway.
The incident occurred around 8:50 a.m. this Sunday, June 8th of this year, on the aforementioned road, just past Raymundo Park.
The deceased was identified as Salvador Ramos Bustos, 44 years old, who lived in the El Rayo neighborhood.
The man was riding a balloon-type bicycle with multiple modifications, so it was initially thought to be a motorcycle.
While driving, he was hit by a Dodge pickup truck. , a 2016 RAM 700, cherry-colored, model, driven by a 42-year-old man named Francisco Javier; the person responsible was intoxicated.
After the strong contact, the cyclist was thrown to the side of the asphalt and ended up in a rain gutter attached to the hill.
The motor vehicle dragged the bicycle for several meters before finally stopping.

The relevant authorities were immediately notified through multiple reports to the state 911 emergency system.
Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that the man no longer had vital signs.
Civil Protection and Firefighters were also present to rule out any risk of fuel spills.
The Traffic and Road Safety Department personnel were responsible for securing the truck and arresting the driver.
Members of the Directorate of Security and Citizen Protection and the State Police secured the area until the arrival of forensic services.
The Public Prosecutor's Office investigator, assigned to the homicide unit, learned of the death.
The man's body was sent to the forensic medical service facilities for a legal autopsy.
The Deputy Attorney General's Office of the State of Durango, Laguna Region, has already opened a case and will handle the complementary investigation into the negligent homicide.
