Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato: this is how the love story was born

Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato: this is how the love story was born

It was 2008 when Luisana Lopilato , then one of the most popular actresses in Argentina, decided to attend Michael Bublé 's show at the Teatro Gran Rex in Buenos Aires. "I bought the tickets and went to see him at the theater. I played the saxophone and I loved his songs," recalled the former Rebelde Way. A music lover, she admired the Canadian singer, but she never imagined that that night would change her life forever.

Accompanied by her sister Daniela and her co-star Rodrigo Guirao Díaz, who at that time was acting in the soap opera Atracción x4, Lopilato managed to access the backstage to take a photo with the LOVE interpreter.

"I didn't speak a word of English and he didn't speak any Spanish," she revealed. They didn't understand each other with words, their communication was more about glances, but something about the way they met remained etched in the singer's memory. "I'm going to marry you," Bublé told her that night, although she barely understood the meaning of his words.

An unexpected email and the first date

Days later, Lopilato received an email from the composer. She thought it was an advertisement for his website, until she discovered that it was a message addressed to her. "I didn't understand anything, I wrote to my English teacher so she could translate what he told me," said the actress from Casados con Hijos. Thus began a long-distance relationship, full of translated emails and messages, until the singer returned to Argentina months later.

The first date was not in a fancy restaurant or a luxurious hotel. Luisana invited him directly to her parents' house. "My parents didn't really know who he was, but they put on the best clothes. To impress him, we invented a butler," she said. As time went by, the bond became stronger and the language barrier became a minor detail.

Married and four children

After three years of dating, Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato married in 2011 and went on to have four children. In August 2013, their first son, Noah, was born. Then, in January 2016, Elías arrived, followed by Vida, in July 2018. The youngest of the family, Cielo, was born in August 2022.

The artist behind hits such as Feeling Good, Home and Everything expressed in several interviews that the presence of Luisana and her family influenced his music and personal life.

Over the years, they have proven to be a close-knit family, sharing photos and videos of their daily lives on social media.
