Motorcyclists ride through Plaza Grande in Mérida: they demand justice for Ángel and Fabiola.

Motorcyclists ride through Plaza Grande in Mérida: they demand justice for Ángel and Fabiola.

Numerous motorcyclists rode tonight to join in the demands for justice for the death of Angel Méndez and his family.

It was around 8 p.m. when dozens of motorcyclists gathered in La Paz Park to demonstrate; they then headed downtown.

Around 9 p.m., the motorcyclists parked along 61st Street between 60th and 62nd. Mounted on their vehicles, they began their noisy protest. Reportedly, at least 100 protesters gathered.

The motorcyclists revved their vehicles, breaking the tranquility of the Plaza Grande with their exhausts. They also honked their horns as they rode around the central plaza.

After this, they gathered and held a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the accident that occurred in Altabrisa.

As you may recall, the funeral of Fabiola Che Yah took place on Thursday. She was the third victim of the accident that occurred on April 29 near Altabrisa , in which her baby and husband also lost their lives.
