Petition launched to play 2026 World Cup with the ball Claudia gave to the Canadian PM

Maple Stadium - After Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum gave a soccer ball to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, thousands of fans have launched a petition to have it made the official match ball for the 2026 World Cup.
The ball, crafted by Wixárika artisans, not only meets official FIFA standards, but also glows in the dark thanks to its natural fibers, making it easy for players to see during nighttime games... or during strategic power outages.
This ball moves less than the Brazuca⚽✨ In her first meeting with Canadian Minister Mark Carney, President Claudia Sheinbaum presents him with a ball decorated by Wixárika (Huichol) artisans, in the framework of the upcoming 2026 World Cup to be held in Mexico-US-Canada.

"It's prettier than the 'Brazuca' and even moves less in the wind," declared the president of the Canadian Soccer Federation, after snatching the ball from Carney amid diplomatic laughter.
Although the tournament ball, dubbed the "Trionda," has already been approved, Claudia's gift was so beautiful that even Gianni Infantino himself had to admit that he made a mistake in not declaring it the official ball.

"Can you imagine Messi dribbling this ball, falling over himself, and the referee awarding him a penalty?" Infantino asked rhetorically, tenderly holding the ball.
If FIFA were to approve the request, all indigenous artisans would have to work tirelessly to produce the necessary balls for the World Cup, especially considering that Messi flies seven balls per match and Cristiano Ronaldo takes another three for his personal display.
Sports experts have mentioned that not since Pelé signed a Pizza Hut ball has there been a more beautiful one, which will help move the petition forward.
