Plane crash with 20 passengers in Tennessee mobilizes emergency services

A plane carrying 20 people crashed in Coffee County, Tennessee, USA. Emergency services transported some of the passengers by helicopter to local hospitals for treatment.

“Texas Highway Patrol (THP) troopers are assisting @TullahomaPD at the scene of a plane crash on Old Shelbyville Road. Initial reports suggest there were 16 to 20 people on board. Some have been airlifted to nearby hospitals. This is an active scene. Local authorities will provide an update,” the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported.

Authorities added that no one was killed , but several were injured, said Lyle Russell, a spokesman for the city of Tullahoma, where the accident occurred.

It was reported that the plane was engaged in skydiving activities and crashed around 12:15 p.m. at Tullahoma Regional Airport.
