Saltillo: Boy rides his bike out of his private home and is run over

The 11-year-old was hit by a truck while playing.

An 11-year-old boy was injured after being hit by a truck while riding his bicycle on Private 3 to join Gálatas Street, in the El Salvador neighborhood , east of Saltillo .

The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, shortly after 3:00 p.m., and was attended to by Municipal Police officers, who requested an ambulance to assist Jesús Alberto "N," 11 years old.

The child was playing in the street and, when trying to leave the private road where he lives, he headed towards the main road.

At that moment, he was hit by a Dodge RAM truck driven by Daniel Isaías “N”, 28 years old , who had the right of way and although he managed to brake, he could not avoid the collision.

Red Cross paramedics treated the child, who suffered several bruises and bleeding from his ear, although he remained conscious. He was taken to the Maternal and Child Hospital for medical evaluation.

Both vehicles were secured, while the involved parties, who are neighbors, expressed their intention to reach an agreement to repair the damage and determine liability before the authorities.
