Spectacular accident involving young students on the Mérida periférico
Two young students from a renowned private university suffered a serious traffic accident on the Mérida periférico , where the vehicle they were traveling in crashed into a tree and overturned.
The accident occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, February 26 , at kilometer 34 of the busy road, in the side lane.
The young men were travelling on board a Vento vehicle on the side street, which runs next to the Faculty of Mathematics.

However, after passing the curve located near the El Tamarindo neighborhood , the driver, apparently due to excessive speed, lost control of the steering wheel, the vehicle went off the road and overturned after colliding with a tree.
The boys got out of the vehicle as best they could, with some scrapes on their bodies, but without any life-threatening injuries.
At the same place they were assessed by rescuers from the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) and while they were being treated their parents arrived.
The parents of the injured, apparently minors, were responsible for solving the problem and calling the vehicle's insurance company to cover the damages caused.
