The alarming messages and videos that one of Al Jazeera's journalists managed to publish before being killed in Gaza by Israel: he made a plea

On the night of Sunday, August 10, a targeted Israeli attack killed six Palestinian journalists in Gaza . The international community and those defending journalists' rights have spoken out in condemnation of these events, which mark a prolongation of the war and the murder of people in this region.
One of the dead was Anas al-Sharif, a Palestinian journalist whom Israel had labeled a "terrorist" despite carrying out his work amid the vicissitudes of the war. Killed at the age of 28, the man left a message ready to be published after his death at the hands of the other party in this conflict.
'Israel has succeeded in killing me and silencing my voice' Al-Sharif reported daily on developments in the Gaza Strip, the main target of Israeli attacks since the beginning of the conflict with Palestine. He had earned the respect of his colleagues, who admired him for exposing the world to the atrocities committed against their people.

As part of his posts, on August 10, he published a video of a crying girl and a father walking with his daughters in the ruins of Gaza. "This is the state of the people of Gaza: tireless efforts to survive and brutal extermination imposed by the aggression," he wrote. Hours earlier, he had reported the death of a child due to starvation.
The last video posted on his X account showed the sky above the region constantly lighting up for milliseconds thanks to Israeli airstrikes. "The aggression intensifies over Gaza City," he wrote in the description of the post preceding his farewell letter.
"This is my will and my final message. If you see these words, know that Israel has succeeded in killing me and silencing my voice," begins the last text posted on the official account of the renowned journalist who, above all, wished "peace be upon you and the mercy and blessings of Allah."
He then asserted that he had given his all to "be a support and a voice" for the Palestinian people since he was born in the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza. "Allah's will prevails and His decree is final," he continued, asserting that he always wanted to contribute to his and his family's return to Asqalan, the territory from which they were displaced.

In the same text, he criticized the actions of those who "stood silently, accepting our slaughter. Those who suffocated us and whose hearts were not moved by the remains of our children and women," accusing them of doing nothing to stop the massacre of their people.
Referring to Palestine, its people, whom he called "the jewel in the crown of the Muslim world," he called on the world to be "bridges for the liberation of the land and its people, until the sun of dignity and freedom rises over the stolen land."

He also prayed for his son, Salah, his mother, and his wife, from whom he was separated due to the misfortunes of war. "I ask you to be with them, supporting them with the help of Almighty Allah. If I die, I die on my principles," he said. Finally, he asked the world not to forget what is happening in Gaza or his work to liberate its people. Signing the posthumous letter, he bid farewell to his followers.
