The biggest wins in 94 Clásicos in Barcelona

The biggest wins in 94 Clásicos in Barcelona

The derby between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid is the most replayed match in La Liga history, with all sorts of scores in the 94 matches played on Barcelona's home turf: 26 at Les Corts, 67 at Camp Nou, and this will be the second at the Lluis Companys stadium in Montjuïc. There were 51 home wins, 20 draws, and 23 Real Madrid victories. The top scorer is Barcelona's César, with 12 goals out of 183 total, compared to 113 for his opponents. These are the scores ordered by highest number of goals:

Ten goals

5-5 in 1942-43

Curiously, the Barcelona derby with the highest La Liga goals was a 5-5 draw. The score went to 4-2 at halftime. Madrid took the lead, but they also equalized three minutes from time. ABC's report read: "Overall, a magnificent La Liga match, played with gentlemanly abandon, as although there were some flashes of toughness, these did not detract from the overall performance." It is Real Madrid's only 5-5 draw in 3,062 matches since 1929 .

Nine goals

7-2 in 1950-51

Never before had Barcelona scored as many goals against Real Madrid in La Liga at home as in that 1950 rout, with goals from Nicolau (9' and 56'), César (14'), Marcos Aureli (39' and 88'), Gonzalvo III (62'), and Basora (82'). The Real Madrid goals came from Molowny (15') and Gª Gonzalez (66'). Juanito Alonso was the goalkeeper who conceded the most goals in a single match. Real Madrid have never lost a La Liga match by that number.

Eight goals:

3-5 in the 60-61

With two goals from Di Stéfano and two from Gento , that Real Madrid side won resoundingly. Real Madrid won 3-5 twice more in the history of the championship: in Murcia in 1944 and at the Benito Villamarín in 2018.

Seven goals

There has never been a classic with seven goals!

Not 7-0, not 6-1, not 5-2, not 4-3, not even Real Madrid wins with those scores. Will this be the first time this year, in honor of this week's Inter-Barça victory?

Six goals:

Six meetings

There were two 5-1 draws, the last time in Lopetegui's dismissal in 2018-19, with Sánchez Martínez refereeing that continues to delight Real Madrid Television. There was a 1-5 draw in 1963: Puskas' hat-trick was widely seen on the No-do. Twice there was a 4-2 draw, the last time in 1952, when the score was 2-2 at halftime. There was only one 3-3 draw: Messi's first hat-trick in 2006-07, which was not enough for Barça to retain its lead over Capello's champion Real Madrid.

Five goals

Four hands by 5-0

In one of the four thrashings, Ventolra scored four goals. It was in the 34-35 season. The last "manita" was in 2010-11, in the first match against Mourinho . There was never a 4-1 draw, but there was a 1-4 draw, in 1930, with the score 0-3 at halftime. The home side won 3-2 three times, with Lineker scoring a hat trick in 1987. Chamartín won 2-3 twice: the comeback from 2-0 down in 1950 was spectacular.

Four goals

Five 2-2 draws, plus a 4-0

A 4-0 victory came in the 58-59 season. Of the five draws, Madrid took the lead in the first and last. In all five, three saw Madrid score in pairs: Raúl, Cristiano , and Gento . Messi scored both goals in that duel with Ronaldo in 2011-12.

Barça have won 3-0 five times, the last time in 2004-05. 3-0 came in the 35-36 minutes. Eleven times there have been 2-1 draws, and only once did Real Madrid lead at halftime, in the 65-55 minutes. The last time, two years ago, was the only time Real Madrid took the lead, and Barça won in the final minute, with a goal from Kessié. And 2-1 has also occurred eleven times, with the Whites coming back four times. Those are the two most repeated results! And 2-1 was the first and the last! Last season, with a late goal from Bellingham , who had also equalized minutes earlier.

Two goals

Seven 1-1 draws. Six home wins and three for Real Madrid.

Of the six home teams, two were still tied at halftime: Eto'o in the 81st minute and Messi in extra time took the longest to break, in 2008-09. There hasn't been a 0-2 deficit since the 79-80 minute, in that great game by Cunningham, and only in the 56-57 minute did they go into halftime with a lead.

Of the seven draws, only one was scored by Real Madrid (Zidane in 2002; Xavi equalized). Three of those times, the equalizer came from penalties: Luis Regueiro and Gento for the Whites, and Ronaldinho in 2006 for the hosts.

A goal

1-0, nine times and 0-1, only twice

Five of them resulted in goals before halftime. The last was in 2010, with a goal from Ibrahimovic , and one of them was in the final match at Les Corts, in the 56-57 season, with a goal from Galician Luis Suárez.

Real Madrid's victories, with goals from Grande in 70-71 and Baptista in 2007, with the League won with Schuster as coach.

No goals

Six goalless draws

The last one was in 2019-20 (Real Madrid won La Liga). The first was in 1940, and there was also a 0-0 draw in Cruyff 's La Liga as a player, in 1973-74, and it was played without him on the pitch, before the Dutch star was transferred.
