The Government regularizes more than 22,000 immigrants due to the dana

The Government Delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has confirmed that more than 22,000 migrants "have been regularized" in the extraordinary process opened by the central government due to the Dana in Valencia . This means that "almost 93%" of the applications received have been accepted.

This was explained in statements to the media on Tuesday, in which he explained that this Wednesday is the deadline to submit applications for regularization in the extraordinary process that the central government launched for migrants affected by the floods of October 29.

Bernabé pointed out that, regarding migration, "there are two clear models." On the one hand, the central government model, which "protects, provides certainty, security, and stability to enrich society." On the other hand, he criticized the fact that "there is a second model, that of the PP-Vox coalition" in the Valencian Community, which "does exactly the opposite, stigmatizing migrants."

Bernabé emphasized that the new immigration regulations that the Executive will implement "further foster this stability and improve the process of regulating migrants, who generate wealth in our society , because they promote employment but also because they generate greater cultural diversity, and that also enriches us as a society."

"Here I had to listen to the president of the Generalitat (Carlos Mazón) ask the nationalities of the people detained , as an obligation that Vox had imposed on him in that napkin pact to approve the budgets, which seems to me to be one of the most xenophobic phrases I have heard in recent times," he reproached.

This is, he lamented, a Consell that "approves amendments to the budget by Vox that are far removed from harmony, coexistence, respect, and solidarity."
