The IPV called for tenders for the construction of 56 houses in the former San Agustín beach

The Government of Mendoza , through the Provincial Housing Institute , issued a call for applications for the construction of the first phase of a neighborhood that will be aimed at families living in the western part of the capital. The land, which covers about 8 hectares, will be divided into two phases.
In this initial stage, the construction of 56 homes was planned, in which the CEPA prototype will be used. For the construction of this neighborhood, the Province has allocated an investment of more than $3.2 billion, since it will be executed within the framework of the provincial program Mendoza Construye Linea 1.
For its part, the Municipality of the Capital will be responsible for the corresponding urbanisation works and will also finance part of the housing (second bedroom).

The call for tenders, published on Sunday 23 February, sets a construction period of 14 months, while the date for opening the envelopes is scheduled for 19 March at 10:30.
Companies interested in consulting the specifications can do so by visiting the IPV website www.ipvmendoza.gov.ar/proveedores/licitaciones-y-pliegos/ or the Purchasing Portal of the Province of Mendoza.
The houses that will belong to the San Agustín neighborhood will have a total surface area of 55.90 m2, with 52.90 m2 of covered space and 3 meters of semi-covered space. In the case of adapted homes, the surface area will be enlarged by approximately 10%. As for the distribution, each unit will have a kitchen-dining room, an outdoor laundry room, a bathroom and 2 bedrooms with the possibility of future expansion.
The planned structure is made of reinforced concrete and solid brick masonry. However, the bidding companies may present alternative construction systems.

The roof will be made of inclined, thermally and water-repellent slabs. As for the finishes, it will have ceramic tiles on the interior floor and sanitary walls, plaster on the inside of the walls and acrylic latex paint throughout the house. The carpentry will be pre-painted aluminum, the exterior doors will be metal, and the interior doors will be made of sheet metal.
Affected families with new IPV housingFollowing the fire that occurred on San Agustín beach at the end of 2023 , the IPV completed the works that allowed families who suffered the loss of their homes to have a new roof over their heads. The last interventions were delivered on Friday, February 21, to two families who live in front of the already vacant property.

These houses and some repairs were carried out within the framework of the Mejoro Mi Casa program and were located in the Alto Mendoza and Libertador neighborhoods. In total, 2 houses were rebuilt in the first neighborhood and solutions were provided to 4 families through 6 interventions.
In the Libertador neighborhood, 23 improvements were built for 9 families, whose homes were completely demolished, since they were all affected by the fire.
