The Saltillo Opera Company prepares Mozart's 'Elixir of Love' for FINA 448

Donizetti will be the one to grace the Fernando Soler City Theater for the 448th anniversary of Saltillo next July, thanks to the production that the Saltillo Opera Company (COSA) is preparing of his work “The Elixir of Love.”

This “humorous drama” by the Italian composer will be part of the Saltillo 448 FINA International Arts Festival and will be COSA’s big bet, where it will showcase both the talent of its soloists and the maturity of its choir.

The production will be directed by Alejandro Reyes-Valdés , and will also feature stage direction by Armando Tenorio , who will take the place of Mabel Garza ('La Bohème') and Gabriel Neaves ('La Traviata') .

There are still no details about the ideas that will be put on stage, special guests or surprises, but as every year since the beginning of COSA, it will be one of the main activities of FINA, organized by the Municipal Institute of Culture of Saltillo.
